Neither is a good quality for a Superintendent whether interim or not although it does seem to run in their blood or something.

California has a disproportionate number of non-English speakers throughout the state. Add this to the sample size and other comparison issues, and you're comparing apples to oranges. Brennan needs to compare Ridgewood NAEP scores to schools with the same demographics. That's not what happened at the BOE meeting. It was another spin fest.concernedCTparenthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09755180042426047454noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6473579720535180332.post-66153722232204373722007-10-25T19:57:00.000-05:002007-10-25T19:57:00.000-05:00Not Ridgewood Public School system in New Jersey w...Not Ridgewood Public School system in New Jersey where the Interim Superintendent, Timothy Brennan, compared New Jersey and California NAEP scores, refused to acknowledge the various factors affecting those scores, and then stated that creativity is locked up by Sacremento.

Boy, maybe their is hope for the public education system.

Then again, perhaps it needs to fail in total to have any chance of real change taking effect.

Either way, my kids will be prepared and when they are old enough, they will learn how it was the educational system that deprived them and made learning a more difficult process than it needed to be.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
